Bloggity Blog Blog Blog...

It's time for Mass Comm students to set up indivdual weblogs. I've encouraged you to use Blogger or Word Press. I'm using WP for this course as I'm trying new things. I currently use Blogger for my BC Capstone classes and I've always like the features it offers.

Once you've set up your weblog, please e-mail the link to it. I want you to start making entries right away.

Everyone should post their responses to the media use questions I handed out.

Your second entry should address the issue of your favorite media and how you'd react if it were taken away forever. I'm curious about how you use it and why it's your favorite. What you would miss about it? Why is it so valuable in your life?

Also, feel free to add pictures to entries (feel free to claim fair use for images on the 'net- as long as you link back to the source). I hope you embrace this effort to have you engage in new media and try your hand at weblogging. Here's a link to some suggestions on what makes a good blog. Our audience for now is each other, but remember the weblog is out there for the world to find and read.

Lippman's PUBLIC OPINION

We are all captives of the picture in our head — our belief that the world we have experienced is the world that really exists.”- Walter Lippman

Walter Lippman’s PUBLIC OPINION appears to fall into the public domain. It’s available free on the web for surfers to read. The University of Virginia has it online. You can click here to find the entire text.
